Fall registration

Welcome to the lottery. Ordinary, I don't play lottery games, because really, it's a stupid tax. However, this one is manadatory. When you register for second year courses, you are required to rank them in a priority scheme. Sadly, the only student with less priority than a full time 2d year student, is a part time 2d year student. This scheduling thing is complicated.

For example, my school has a new hire starting in the fall. While the new professor may be an amazing researcher, this person has *zero* classroom experience. So of course the administration assigned this professor one of the most complicated and challenging required courses, and it's for 2d year students.

So I've pinned all my hopes on my first choice class, an elective picked purely as a conflict with the new hire's section. If all goes well, I'll have a schedule that leaves friday free AND avoids the new hire.

Fingers are crossed.
