20 women sizes 8 through 24 - 2 full length mirrors - 1 afternoon - a half cord of clothing.
My big scores today were an ice blue linen suit, a black leather jacket, and a dark orange spaghetti strap dress (sheath with chiffon overlay decorated with ribbon and beadwork on the skirt). Additional items included a flannel bathrobe, pj pants, skirt, blazer and t-shirts.
The price of admission is just a bag or two of good condition clothing that I don't currently wear. Goodbye too long pants, ill fitting sweaters and cute tshirts that are now tight in the bust.
To some it might seem odd swapping clothes with other people. But I see it as a better, cheaper alternative to the different varieties of second-hand stores. Some of the items I carried home were $200-$300 new. Since we all have different styles and taste, it's a great opportunity to try things I wouldn't ordinarily pick, especially since I always had at least 5 opinions for anything I tried on. There are some clothes I will only buy new, socks and underwear for example, but for outerwear it's a deal that can't be beat.
