Law Students more psycho than Med Students

Ok, really that should say Study finds law students as emotionally wrecked as psych patients.

Not really a big surprise, I should think. What was a surprise was that the Wall Street Journal has a daily Law Blog. Who knew?

My shrink during law school anecdotal breakdown of most unhappy was like this

1) Vet Med
2) Law
3) Physics Ph.d (male)
4) Med

but Vet Med and Law neck to neck for most depressed.

I feel in some ways my entire life has gone down hill since I went to law school. Not because of school itself, which I didn't mind, but just the quality of people I have met over the years seems to be steadily declining (though outlook is optimistic for that trend reversing). I've just been so lonely.

On the other hand my financial future is pretty well-settled completely independent of my mom and dad so that's the big payoff. Most days I think it has been worth it.

Eh. I attribute the downturn in quality people that I meet to be a product of being in my 30s.

Not that this is a bad decade, just that the 20s was a time to meet people, and the thirties a time to solidify the relationships with the creme of the crop from the twenties.

Thirties isn't really a meeting people time.
