It's Monday, yes it is.

Heavy Rain has spread over the entire area. The roads are slippery but the A-holes who drive their Urban Assault Vehicles are not slowing down. Sweeeet.

Meanwhile, when I got to school my backpack tumbled off the car seat and into the gutter when I opened the car door. Imagine my horror as I watched my pens, note cards and tape flags float away in the fast-flowing curb stream as I stooped over to grab my umbrella. I had zipped every pouch except for the one that holds my computer, pens and paper bits. I managed to grab almost everything that fell out, but I doubt the notecards and post-it notes will survive the dunking. Happily, the computer stayed in its slot, that was a close one.

To add insult to injury, I managed to step in dog poo while rescuing my school supplies. That should be popular at the networking event I'm going to tonight.

Yup, been there with the dropping computer in wet slick rain.

My brother still asks me how many times I dropped it to loosen the connection inside (he took my laptop apart and is using the parts for some mega-server in his household).

A lot.
