Monkey worried that I was feeling down.
Down didn't begin to describe it, but I've been feeling a bit better the past couple of days.
Good things of late:
- met with Professor Family Law who spent nearly an hour with me crafting a plan to improve my exam performance. His primary advice:
Don't write to me, write to an unusually bright friend who knows nothing about the law
- came to a conclusion that I need to get back in the saddle with regard to hobbies and projects. It's summer, so I need to get to work on:
- stained glass
- calligraphy
- book making (creation of bound material)
- learning to cook again
Other good stuff:
- visits from far off friends (especially the ones who feed me)
- near by friends who take the time to kick my ass, but who do it in the most loving way possible and who salve the hurt the ass kicking causes
- sunshine
- being in the mountains
- clarifying some emotional inconsistencies
I won't go so far as to say it's all good, but for now at least, it's not all bad.

(big hug) from EEK!
I'm happy that your professor took the time to give you real pointers on exam writing. And I think we'd all do better if we had live-in nannies who could make sure we're taken care of.
