Contracts has been going great this semester, by which I mean I don't leave the classroom on the verge of tears. Last semester a good one half of the lectures were wasted on me. I understood that yes, it was English coming out of Professor K's mouth, but there was no comprehensible meaning imparted by his words. Concepts were unexplained, and no bridges existed to join related doctrines. Those classes would have been just as valueless had they been taught in Swahili.
Today was the first Swahili class this semester. Nevermind that on Thursday I spent over 4 hours trying to digest the reading assignment. I briefed the hell out of the cases. Nevertheless, in class today discussions regarding intent of the parties, and materiality of conditions/clauses as to whethere promises are independent or dependent so as to determine who must tender performance before being entitled to sue for damages were just not comprehensible to me.
Will consult supplement.
