Delirium

Rather than attend the 3 hour symposium regarding Torture, when is it ever permissible? with a keynote address by General Janis Karpinski (who was in charge during the Abu Ghraib scandal) I headed for the library to get some work done after Contracts.

Except somehow I made a sharp left and went home instead. I was feeling very strange, sharp muscle aches binding up my hips and back. Once home, the bestest roommate in the world made tasty lunch for me, of which I could only choke down a few bites. Being too tired to chew, I went to bed, and fell rock hard asleep for 4 hours. I awoke in cracklandia. My skin was warm but I shook like a parkinson's victim. The muscle aches were worse. I couldn't string two sentences together and everything was surreal, as if david Byrne infiltrated my living space. back to bed with thermometer. Duh, Fever! All is explained.

14 hours later, Mr. Fever is still here, but somewhat reduced. I no longer quiver like Santa's Belly. My mind seems generally lucid. I'm still as floppy as wet flannel, and have strange body aches in my jaw and hips, but I'm hoping the worst has passed.

UPDATE: fever still climbing, has hit 101. Can't remember how to take care of it. What drugs are fever reducers?

I never could figure out how to get my e-mail attched. Thanks for the heads up.

If I'm still like this in the morning, I'll have one of my nursey friends get me over to a medical facility.

Strangely, I feel better and more lucid now.
