In the latest chapter of winter woe, one of my friends had to cut the strings on a relationship that likely would have eventually ended up as marriage happily ever after. Earlier this winter another friend miscarried, and an acquaintance's +HIV status was publically outed. I'm still as blue as ever, (HATE FEBRUARY) but these turns of events make my own concerns seem trivial.
On a happier note, D&T is here for the 3 day weekend. Also happy-making is EEK's skyrocketing success. Here I sit, smug in the knowledge that I am going to be able to say "I knew her when..." (My prediction? Poet Laureate).
Things at school are plugging right along. I need to start outlining. So far all I have done is written a description sheet for future interests. I'd like to do a flow chart, but I should also do description sheets for Adverse Possession and Estate Classification as well as a flow chart for estates. In Criminal Con Law (AKA Criminal Procedure) I'm trying to figure out what a chart for warrantless and warranted searches and seizures should look like. While I'm at it, I should probably figure one out for permissive and compulsory joinder of claims, joinder of parties under FRCP 19 & 24, and one for State and Federal Class actions as well. Whee, isn't CivPro fun? In reality, making those sounds more fun than outlining and also more useful. I think the graphic layout is more comprehensible to me somehow.
Contracts was the class I absolutely hated last semester, and I find that even in second semester, consideration doctrine is pervasive, ergo, I am still often confused, but at least this semester we have not had any class sessions that would have been just as useful had they been taught in Swahili. That's a definite step up.

Aw, shucks! Thanks for being such a good friend. I made hotel reservations, by the way, for my June working visit. The JC is coming along this time, too. Details to follow!
