With D&T in Manhattan, holidays like today are stupid and meaningless. He gets a card and a prezzie anyhow, but I am a firm believer that Important Days should be celebrated on their actual dates. Otherwise, what the heck are you celebrating? Context imparts meaning in my mind, and when the event is significant because of its date of occurence, something is lost in the meaning when you move the rememberance to a different day.
