Visitors from afar

My former roommate was in town today. This is a woman who has done extremely well for herself. I've known her since she graduated from University, and seen her go from living on knotted shoestrings at crappy ass publishing house jobs that made her miserable, to finding a job she likes, that she's good at, in a new town with a great boy by her side. While I'm bummed that she had to move far away (as have most of my good friends) I'm heartened by her success, and happy that she's happy. And really happy she got off that crappy birth control pill that was hurting her health.

Tonight we got to hang out while I came down from bizzy day at school. I picked her up at her cousin's after an unexpected detour (right, not left) and we Jetta'd off to chow on Ethanopian food and catch up on each other's lives.

Tomorrow she heads up to the land of Clover to see her fambly. Meanwhile I have my last classes and tons of laundry to do before I head of to my own native land.

I can't believe it's already time for the great turkey massacre.

Yay! Ethernopian food with QIR! It was swell to see you.

Hey, guess what? I met the other Emily last night. That was a small, small world.
