Le Nouveau Beaujolais est Arrivee

On my way home from school tonight I was craving steak frites, so I stopped off at my favorite French restaurant. To my amazement, I realized that today was the third Thursday in Novermber. That's the day the Nouveau Beaujolais is released. I had and excellent ribeye steak with thyme laden bordelaise sauce, hand cut frites a light mesclun salad with a glass of the new beaujolais wine. It's very light, a little sour, floral and fruity both, it handled the rich food quite nicely.

I sat at the table and snarfed the hot frites while I wrote out the California murder chart onto flash cards, putting enumerated felonies in the corner of one card, while the Anderson test for evidence of premeditation and deliberation went onto another.

Murder is not a fabulous dinner companion, although many vegetarians do insist that meat is murder, so I guess it makes an ok dinner companion.
