Summer silence

My lappy is badly hosed with a viral infection. This is good and this is bad. It's bad because I am cut off from the world as viewed from the lens of the internet.

It's good because I decided what the hey, I'll study for this July's bar exam.

My days will largely be spent out in the garage, memorizing the rule against perpetuities, the defenses to intentional torts and other stunningly boring aspects of the law.

The tomatoes and bush beans in the garden were stunted before being planted and are failing to thrive. We may have to get some starts. The dahlias from last summer have reappeared, in the middle of the peas. Little knobby rounds are dangling from the cucumber vines. The mint is going gangbusters.

The pinks, salvia and white lobelia make a charming pink, blue and white blast of color to the corner of the garden.

Probably will be a slow summer around here.
