Buying them that is. I haven't written any or even secured addresses. There my secret is out.
Whilst I was showering up, on this my last day in island paradise, I came across a great idea for a travel souvenir cum travelogue. On your first day of holiday, you know you'll be shopping for those forgotten sundries. Stop by the postcard kiosk. Buy postcards for each day of your trip + 3-4 more depending on how wordy you are (or on how many adventures you think you may have). Write up your travel journal on a postcard each day. Mail it to yourself the next. When you get home, you'll have your travel journal, mementos of your trip, and some photos of things you saw that are better than the pics you took with your RAZR.
Come Tuesday, I'll have a write-up of the tropical recipes that came pouring out of my head.

lol, at least you bought them; I have sorta given up on believing I will write them, so I buy a couple so I have nice pix of stuff; I think I came to my senses sometime after realizing I was able to supply T-luv w/ enought pc for her to send home to anyone and everyone from Salamanca while she was there for the summer....and post-ET pc exchange, and ... anyways, can´t wait to hear how your trip went!
