Early morning email advises me that my sister's water broke sometime around 2 am. Best wishes for a healthy delivery for Squiggle and Mommy.
I never did cough up a baby present for my nephew, and now I don't have the cash, so I've asked my mom to bring my childhood teddy bear, as my present to my nephew.
I loved that bear fiercely as a kid. It feels weird to give him up, but I figure it's better to have him played with, rather than sit on the shelf like the Velveteen Rabbit.
UPDATE:
Nephew has arrived via scalpel. Got the news from mommy herself. And boy was she HIIGGGHHH on morphine.
Gonna go meet him tomorrow.

The Velveteen Rabbit doesn't sit on the shelf, silly. It is taken away to be burned when the child has scarlet fever but because it was sooo loved, it is granted an after life as a real rabbit. I think it is great you are passing on your teddy.
