Do you want to help kids? No? Are you sure?
What if they were sick kids?
What if they were sick kids in Africa?
What if it were really easy, peasy to help them?
Okay, I realize you didn't answer any of those questions in the negative, because you my friends are nice people.
Here's the deal: One of my friends went to the Congo and discovered that last year 2/3 of the kids treated in the hospital where she worked had been diagnosed with malaria. Because their families don''t have mosquito nets, these poor little kidlets get re-infected. Her solution? Give the kid a mosquito net upon discharge from the hospital. You can read more articulate information about the project here: Bed Nets for Kids.
Here's how you can help:
My friend's project needs exposure. You can harness the power of the internets by blogging about her program. You could also shoot her a fiver, but what she needs is for people to find out about it.
Please don't link back to my blog on this, the post will just get buried by the eviscerated puppy posts. Plus local people will find out about my blog and I don't want that. Use the above link.
C'mon, it's either free or it's $5, and it's almost Happy ChristmaKwanzikah. Besides, when was the last time you saw me ask for help for someone other than myself? Please blog this.

Awesome! My husband and I were just discussing our charitable donation and I can see us shooting some cash their way. I will definitely be posting about this - this week.
Also, been meaning to email you - I had NO idea you were in San Francisco! I would have totally met up with you had I known. Damn. I LOVE meeting other bloggers.
