It's not all fun and games in academia. There are other delights that await.
Somehow between now and Thursday morning I need to:
- Take out the bathroom trash
- Wash 3 loads of laundry
- Wash all the dishes in my kitchen sink
- Clean the rotting vegetables out of the refrigerator
- Clean the catbox, and buy more litter
But wait there's more! I'm supposed to have a consultation with the pet sitting service that will leech $300 of my hard earned dollars away just to feed the Princess for the Twelve Days of Xmas while I'm away.
I'm also have to have dinner with the Bane of My Existence.
I'm also supposed to have drinks with a friend.
Mysteriously and with no apparent provocation, my microwave seems to have stopped working over the weekend.
My windshield is leaking from the giant crack. Yes, Giant Crack has been there for 2 years. No, I haven't fixed it yet. Yes, this is a predictably soggy El Nino year. Yes, there is a swimming pool in the front passenger footwell.
Speaking of Heidi, her O2 sensor is still not working right, which means the check engine light won't go off, which means she won't pass smog. Not such a big problem except that my tags are 6 months expired and I am now at date at which local law enforcement TOWS your sorry ass if you get pulled over in the Saint Crisco.
So yeah, lots on my mind these days. Christmas shopping? What's that? Not that it matters, your presents from last year are still all wrapped, and sitting under my desk.

eek, my industrious bourgeois toyota echo used to do that. They told me to ignore it or bring it in for the temperature gauge to be adjusted to a less "sensitive" midwest appropriate level.
QIR: that blows about the catsitting. I guess there's no hoping to ask a classmate?
Is that the same microwave I left behind? If so, it's at least *counts fingers* 7 years old. Probably older. I would guess more like 10+.
Poor Heidi, she just can't catch a break.
