Fall Soup

Just like MLE, I had a desire for a cooked punkin food product. So I made curried punkin soup the other day. But because I'm a lazy git, I simply raided the shelves of my local TJ's instead of the punkin patch. That is to say, I sizzled some garlic in oil and then added some canned pumpkin and then added a scoop of Curry Powder and a scoop of pumpkin pie spice. I cooked that all up, added some chicken stock, put it all in the blender, returned it to the pan and added half and half, simmered, finished with a little block of butter and served it up. Yum! Especially with the garnish of chopped apples.

There were supposed to be chicken apple sausages on the side, but in typical space cadet form, I left them warming on a plate near the pilot light. I found them there, still warming, two days later. :(
