The appellate brief is due tomorrow morning between 8 and 10. It's probably 2/3 of the way done, not counting the niggling with the lines to get everything properly aligned on pleading paper and the dickering with the Table of Contents and Table of Authorities.

I stayed up last night writing about black-crowned night herons. They are hideous, disruptive, and they're headed this way.
My appellate brief/argument bit for the legal research & writing class was a 4th Amendment search & seizure issue involving a drug dog sniffing around a car on a traffic stop, where the cops had a tip that the car would be carrying drugs. I don't miss those days!
