My school has a beautiful campus and some knock-out facilities. The classrooms are spacious, well lit and feature stadium seating. The library is modern, quiet and clean. However, for being as close to Silicon Valley as we are, you'd think the university would be a little less resistant to encroachments of technology. Alas, you'd be wrong. The Law school is strenuously resisting wireless. They claim it's about liability. Apparently law students work with private documents and our computers are vulnerable on a wireless network. So many other law schools have managed to adopt, I can't imagine that's a valid reason. But even if that is a reason...
I have just walked across campus to the undergrad library to hook into the university wireless there. Why is my computer any more or less vulnerable here than there? Shenanigans, I say.
Just install some damn wireless over at the law school, I say. I'm tired of undergrads, they keep making out in the stacks.
