cramming it in meets a nap in the sun

I've realle been burning the candle the last few days. Even some other students have noticed that I seem a bit draggy. As of today, my assignment for the non-law review journal is done and I've even ahead of my reading in one class. The problem is that I want to do additional reading for 3 of my classes (Property, Civ Pro and Crim Pro, aww heck, may as well do Ks as well).

I haven't started outlining,
I don't have a resume,
my writing sample isn't done yet.

Oh sigh.

That's how I have been feeling, I was out the door at 7:15 this morning. This afternoon was so lovely I took my reading outside, but found myself feeling very ADD and distracted and unable to focus, and sleepy. So I lay down on the concrete in the mottled shade, out of the breeze and Crashed Out for about 45 minutes, barely making it to my 2pm class on time. It was one of those funny naps where you don't fall all the way asleep, but rather can dimly hear and recognize distant sounds, and near sounds, like the sound of me snoring. Yes, you heard it here first, I could hear myself snoring.

Yo-there is a 50/50 chance that I'll be practicing in CA. I'm flipping a coin to decide NY or CA at some point. Mebbe I'll see you around the Golden state.

that was from Anu by the way.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE It if you were practicing here in the Golden State, then I could see you all the time!

Okay QIR, it's a go on Cali-4-nye-?eh? b/c their application is the easiest and since I'm jobless I would rather be in a state where the pass rate is stupendously low than in IL where it's pretty high. I'm still debating over whether to take both, though, but the IL bar app is fucking hellish. I will also take the NY one at some point-I know, I'm a glutton for punishment. Will be seein' you come August, beeyotch.

Another big reason is that my sister is mewling that she isn't going to stay in IL past med school, she thinks, and I don't want to get stuck here while my family is somewhere else. I know my parents would move to CA in a heartbeat if one of us were there.

Well, the left coast has some significant drawbacks no doubt, property costs being amonst the most significant. However, bonuses as I see them are

1) very large Indian communities scattered up and down the coast

2) no snow

3) overall pleasing diversity

4) no snow

5) access to the ocean

6) our economy is rebounding moreso than the flyover states

7) I may have mentioned no snow...
