Just back from another lovely 36 hours in NYC. Sunday afternoon, after we decided to blow off the alumnae event, we wandered out of the bar Ginger Man to go get some dinner. A heavenly smell, like waffles, permeated the air. Apparently, in NYC it is a winter tradition to have corner hot nut sellers. These folk stand on street corners sending their hot, sugary smells to the 4 winds.
I had never had hot, sugared nuts. They were delightful. As was the rest of the trip, I wish I had maybe 2 more days to spend there.
*happy sigh*

i LOVE those hot, sugary nuts. one of the MANY things I miss about living in New York, along with usable public transportation, the Amish Market, and all the shopping. sigh. hot, sugary nuts. (i'm also sure there's a slightly dirty joke in there, too.)
Hot sugared nuts? Is that what they're calling it these days?
